Methods for identifying attributes and values
Methods/Process (notes by Chris)
A process of interrogating the definition of learning theories and pedagogic models could be used to identify attributes and values.
The attribute and value could be built iteratively - with each interrogation of a learning theory or pedagogic model used to: (a) test the application of the exisiting attributes in being able to capture the distinctive elements of the particular learning theory or pedagogic model, (b) identify any new values associated with the exisitng attributes, (c) identify any values associated with the learning theory or pedagogic model that fall outside the existing attribute list and so may generate an additional attribute.
One way to test attributes and values is to design a set of closed-ended single response multiple choice survey questions - one for each attribute with values as non-overlapping responses.
